Zygo has worked with global organizations for more than 50 years to make the world a better place. Their products offer innovative solutions across a variety of markets and applications. These high-precision products include:

• - Zygo nano position sensors are embedded in some of the most advanced photolithography machines used to manufacture the chips that power consumer electronics. Their proprietary technology provides nanometer-level position information at nanosecond rates, while monitoring reticle or wafer stages that accelerate at more than 10 G.
• - Zygo 3D optical profilers characterize and provide production process control for key components to make smartphones indispensable, from the camera modules and displays, from the optical sensors to the surface finish of the anodized body that provides a specific tactile feel to end users.

This business was also a part of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) National Ignition Facility (NIF)’s scientific breakthrough in nuclear fusion. In 2022, NIF was able to demonstrate fusion ignition for the first time in a laboratory setting. This groundbreaking milestone was in part possible due to NIF’s utilization of Zygo’s state-of-the-art beamline optics.
